The double 1/4″ output on this guitar allows you to connect just the acoustic piezo system to an acoustic amp or a PA system.

The second 1/4″ output is for the humbucker pickups blended with the Piezo pickups that you can plug into your guitar amp or a PA system.

You do not have to use both 1/4″ outputs when you play the guitar, but you can if you want to.

This guitar is a winner and will not let you down.

The Fender Telecaster has always been known to be a very versatile guitar.

Listen to any song on your favorite album and chances are you will hear a Fender Telecaster.

The Fender Telecaster can handle any style from Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock, Heavy Rock, and any style in between.

In my humble opinion, the Fender Telecaster should be a part of every guitarist or producers’ collection.

One reason I’m very fond of the Fender American Ultra Telecaster is the new noiseless pickups. Fender has had noiseless pickups for a while, but the Ultra Noiseless Vintage Telecaster are the new design.

Some guitarist dislike single coil pickups due to the hum noise you get.

Hum noise is a thing of the past with Fenders new noiseless single coil pickups. Oh, and by the way… They sound great.

Pros: Clean Design, Noiseless Pickups, Great Variety Of Tones, Light Weight, Belly Carve On The Back, Built To Last

Cons: No Humbucker Pickup But She Will Still Get With It.

  • Hardshell Case

Is the Fender Stratocaster the world’s go to guitar? Some claim that it is.

This Fender American Ultra HSS Strat is definitely a winner and has got some very versatile tones.

The ultra-noiseless pickups sound great and without all the hum that you sometimes get with a single coil pickup.

A humbucker pickup has been added in the HSS models to give you a larger variety of tone options. If you want to change the humbucker pickup to a single coil all you need to do is activate the S1 switch on the Volume Knob.

The Fender Stratocaster has been around since 1954. It is still one of the world’s most popular guitars and for good reason.

I personally like the new Ultra Noiseless Pickups. Some say they are not as hot as other fender pickups. I think they sound great and if you need a little more gain just turn it up.

The Fender American Ultra HSS Stratocaster will be a great addition to any guitar player or producers’ collection.

Pros: Great Variety Of Tones, Noiseless Pickups, Great Feeling Neck, Light Weight, Well Balanced Guitar

Cons: No Left-Hand Options Yet. As Far As I Know.

If you are looking for a huge variety of electric and acoustic tones, this guitar is a definite winner.

The piezo pickup in the bridge will deliver nice acoustic tones and the piezo system has its own volume control so you can turn a little or a lot of acoustic tone in with your humbuckers to create a double guitar sound.

This is a great guitar if you are a recording/ performing musician or a producer looking for a guitar that can deliver a large variety of tones.

The humbuckers on the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo Electric Guitar will deliver anything from jazz, smooth jazz, blues, rock, heavy rock, country and crystal-clear clean tones.

PRS heard and answered the call for a more affordable PRS Piezo Hollowbody Electric Guitar. This guitar screams with tone variety and a well-built quality guitar for the masses. Thanks, PRS!

There are 2 1/4″ jack outputs. 1 jack is for the regular humbucker output and the 2nd 1/4″ jack output is for the piezo and humbucker mixed output.

You can use both 1/4″ jack outputs at one time and run the piezo mix jack to an acoustic amp, regular guitar amp, or PA system.

The regular 1/4″ output with just humbuckers can be ran to your regular guitar amp or PA system.

This creates a nice thick double guitar sound. Be sure and check out the video above for a great explanation and demonstration.

You can also just use the piezo/mix 1/4″ jack output and turn the piezo pickup on and off with its own volume control and turn the humbucker pickups on and off with their volume control.

The PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo Electric Guitar is a very well-built guitar and is great choice for any musician or producer.

In Conclusion

My number one pick for the most versatile guitar is the PRS Hollowbody II Piezo Electric Guitar.

I choose this guitar because it is a very well-made guitar with solid figured maple violin carved top and back.

The pickups used in the PRS Hollowbody II Piezo Electric Guitar are top of the line and this guitar is literally a piece of art.

Realistically, most of us may not be able or willing to buy this guitar. It is a little pricey but well worth the money.

I highly recommend checking out the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo Electric Guitar. This is a very similar guitar, and the cost is substantially less.

All of the guitars I have listed here are very versatile guitars and will serve you well. You can decide which guitar works best for you and feel good about your decision.

  1. I have been considering buying a new guitar. The old one I have is all beaten up. I have always been a fan of Gibson Les Paul guitars. But after reading your post and watching some of the videos, I feel that my best choice (budget-wise) is the Fender American Ultra Stratocaster.

  2. What an extensive overview you have built here! I must admit I know nothing about guitars other than I have always wanted to know how to play one! I bought a guitar for my daughter years ago, I don’t think she ever learned to play. They certainly are a beautiful piece of art though aren’t they?! They can help evoke such emotions listening to one being played correctly! I like the Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster and will be looking into this guitar. Thank you for your reviews!

  3. Great review Mitchell, I’m with you I’d like to own each of these guitars. As a professional guitarist and singer, I was looking for that versatile sound as I play a fairly eclectic range of songs, and presto I bought a PRS-SE Hollowbody about a year ago. So I can happily say it’s a wonderful guitar and I agree with you that if you are looking for versatility a PRS Hollowbody II Piezo electric guitar would be perfect for recording.

If only we could have one of each! Lol
