  2. I do think it is very much a case of you get what you pay for, and although price does not necessarily mean better quality, it often is the case. If you buy cheap audio equipment, you mustn’t expect top quality, but if you pay top dollar, you should get high quality sound and equipment. 

    A good quality audio interface has cleaner and clearer recordings. Rather spend a bit more money, and get better quality sound from your audio equipment, than wasting your money. on poor quality equipment.

  3. Wow, you certainly know your stuff, and there is a wealth of information on this website for anybody wanting to start a recording studio at home. 

    I definitely think that it is worth it not to skimp on the audio interface, as you say, this is the heart and soul of your recording studio. If you want to sound professional you need to buy the best you can afford and I think there are other areas of your studio you can go cheaper, but not the interfaces.

    I also agree that the more outputs you have on the interface the better, as you never know what you will need to connect in the future.
