Hello and welcome to Home Recording Studio Setup. My name is Mitchell and I have loved music all of my life.
I can remember being a youngster of about 7 years old and I was listening to some music, (Probably an old Beatles album), when my sister walked into my room and noticed my foot was tapping along to the music.
I had no idea my foot was tapping. My sister thought it was funny that my foot was tapping, and I was amazed!
It just goes to show you the power of music. It flows through us stirring emotion, creating thought, and releasing stress.
I Have Loved Music All My Life
I got my first guitar on my 13th birthday. It was an old Kay archtop acoustic guitar that had been living in a family friends’ attic for many years. I didn’t know how to play her, but it was love at first sight.
I can remember the way she smelled, how difficult she was to play, and how she made my fingers hurt… but I didn’t care. I could not put her down!
Through the years I did learn how to play some guitar and played with many different bands.
There is nothing better than laying down some good tunes with friends.
Many people who form bands almost always start out covering their favorite tunes.
As time goes on most bands will start writing their own material. This is a wonderful time because when a band starts to write their own material, they truly start to become their own sound.
Along with writing original material comes the need to record the music and vocals.
This is a whole new arena of expertise that a lot of musicians gladly embrace and… Another true love is born. Musicians + Audio Production = True Love!
Let’s Keep It Simple
I started this website because I enjoy learning about instruments and audio production.
I have traveled through many phases of learning to play several different instruments and playing in many different bands and writing and recording my own music.
I’m not here to tell you how smart I am and how you should be doing things my way. I just want to share with you what works for me, things I enjoy, and equipment I like.
You are welcome to share your stories here also.
As I stated above, keep it simple. I want to provide a reliable platform for sharing knowledge about instruments, recording, producing, and writing music.
I will also provide information about building an online business and how to build your personal credit.
Home Recording Studio Setup
If we make music production too overwhelming, then our foot stops tapping. The flow of music is gone, and passion can’t be pursued due to technical difficulties.
I highly encourage you to write and play the music that is already inside you. Play the cover tunes, write your own music, learn a new instrument, learn to record and produce your music.
Most of all have fun with it!
